One time when I was asking Brooklyn what different animals say, I decided to throw in, "What does Mommy say?" I was fully expecting her to say, "Mommy says no!" But instead she said, "Mommy says LOVE YOU!" I was kind of taken back. I am so glad that I have said "I love you" to her enough that it stands out more than the negative things.
When I was at a relief society activity a week ago, an older woman told me that in her home growing up, nobody ever said "I love you" and nobody ever gave hugs. I just couldn't comprehend that.
Hugs and kisses are a big deal in our house. It's amazing how many things a kiss can fix!
This is one my favorite messages.
