Uintah county fair

We went our county fair this week, and they had the cutest little exhibit called the little red barn. The FFA puts it on. It lets kids do farm chores, and then sell their stuff at the market, and then they got paid and were able to buy things. It was adorable.

The first step was getting red aprons on, and getting a basket.

They had trees that had apples. 

They had to pick an apple and put it in their basket.

They had a garden where you had to dig a hole with your shovel, and plant a seed.

Then you had to water it.

Then you had to dig up your vegetable and put it in your basket.

There was a henhouse where they had to gather eggs.
Livie was more interested in gathering the chickens. 

We had to fill baggies with corn

Saying hi to the bunnies

Livie leaned over and said, "Hi chickens!"

They had to drive tractors

There were trailers on the wagon to hold bales of hay.

They had to stack the bales of hay

They had to feed the cow the corn they had bagged

Then they had to milk the cow. 

They got to collect a carton of milk for their basket.

They had some real animals to meet.

Livie thought this cow was pretty cool until it mooed at her. 

They had to sell their stuff at the market.

They got paid, and were able to go shopping.

The little store was awesome!

It was so much fun! I took the girls back the next day to do it again.

Brooklyn really wanted to go on the ferris wheel.
We told her we could do the ferris wheel, but that's the only ride we could do.

The whole time we were on it she kept saying,
"I can't believe we are actually up here!"

We saw Daddy and Livie

There's no such thing as a fair without over priced cotton candy and snowcones
