Early Birthday party

We decided to have an early birthday party to celebrate Brooklyn's 1st Birthday because Jason's sister was blessing her baby and all the family was going to be up anyway. (Thank you Brittney for letting us do that!!! :) We did it down in Provo on January 29th, so it was about 2 weeks early. We had so much fun! Brooklyn was a little weary of all the new people, but she warmed up enough to show off her walking skills, and give a few hugs.  Here are some pictures.

Brooklyn was a little shy, and didn't wander too far from us.

Grandpa Blankenagel is holding a doll. What little girl could resist that??

Brooklyn meeting her baby cousin, Xander.

Blowing out the candle! Jason and I made the cake.
I think we discovered Jason's hidden talent! :)

Eating her first few bites of cake. She just took pinches of frosting off at first.
Nobody believes me, but this really was her very first time having both cake and ice cream.

There we go... finally digging in. Yum!!

At the baby blessing. She decided Grandpa Blankenagel really wasn't so bad after all!

We snuck a picture in with Great Grandma

Grandma Blankenagel has fun glasses to play with!

After the party, we drove home and spent the night in Brigham City. Grandma Shellabarger got to cuddle with her. She was wore out :)

Now we get to do it all over again on her birthday, February 10th.
